About Once Upon A Time
After getting hooked on consignment shopping while living in Charlotte, N.C., Caryn Smith, owner of Once Upon A Time, dreamed of opening a shop of her own. "My home is furnished in a mix of old and new, mix and match. I love the cozy feeling that pieces with history give to a space. That's why I so enjoy the business; each item has a story and character all its own," says Caryn.
Caryn and husband Dave Vanderbosch purchased Once Upon A Time in the summer of 2011 and have been busy putting their mark on the shop. The couple lives in the same Old Pines Lakes neighborhood where Caryn grew up and are parents to two pampered felines, Pepper and Kitty.
